How it started
melissa moline miller
An off-campus job at a student housing community is what led Melissa Moline Miller to the industry. She's called Chicago home since 2004, where she first worked as a leasing agent for a prominent condominium deconversion developer.
Around 2007 Melissa started her own leasing brokerage, Urban Lux, She quickly realized the potential for industry innovation and set out to find ways to streamline and simplify the leasing process. In 2013, she founded inRentive, a real estate tech platform designed to connect landlords and tenants seamlessly. The startup quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach and user-friendly design, and was selected as one of the ten companies to pitch at Google for Entrepreneur's Demo Day
In 2017, Melissa shifted her focus and created RentLife, with a mission to build a team capable of working for prestigious companies in Chicago. Her efforts paid off, as RentLife earned the trust of top names like Morguard, Greystar, CRG, and others.
Since then, Melissa has been actively involved in leasing some of the most luxurious high rises in downtown Chicago, including Alta at K Station, Coeval, Imprint, Marquee at Block 37, Coast at Lakeshore East, 1000 South Clark, Avenir, 811 Uptown, and 640 North Wells.
Melissa and her team are currently elevating RentLife to new heights by incorporating cutting-edge technology with best practices and years of experience, resulting in high-profit margins for all parties involved.
